BUS RELATED

Q. Can I use my cell phone on the bus?
A.
Out of respect to fellow passengers, kindly turn your cell phone off or keep it on vibrate while traveling on the motorcoach. Frequent use and loud conversations are distracting to fellow passengers, thank you.

Q. Can I bring things on the bus like an extra jacket?
A.
Yes, there is overhead luggage space and the bus is locked whenever it is unattended by the driver. However, we are not responsible for lost or stolen items so we recommend that you do not leave anything valuable on the bus.

Q. Is there a restroom on the bus?
A.
Yes, on our full-size coaches.

Q. Do you assign seats on the bus?
A.
No, normally we do not. However, if you have a specific problem like carsickness or a disability, we will reserve the second seat for you. Hagey Tours has been operating tours for 52 years and we have always allowed our customers to choose their seats.

Q. Is smoking or drinking alcohol allowed on the bus?
A.
No.

Q. Can I bring food on the bus?
A.
Yes, but only non-alcoholic beverages allowed.

Q. I would like to take a tour, but I get motion sickness when riding in a bus. What can I do?
A. Tell the sales representative that you suffer from motion sickness and the second seat from the front can be reserved for you.

OFFICE RELATED

Q. Do you take credit cards?
A.
Yes, we accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express.

Q. How do I make a reservation?
A.
There are three choices: e-mail a request to us via our web site, call and speak to a tour representative who will be happy to make your reservation, or come to our office in person. Office hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm Saturday.

Q. Are advanced reservations necessary?
A.
Yes, for two reasons: 1) we are not a line-run company, we only go to specific planned destinations where we often have to make reservations, and 2) many of our trips do sell out early.

Q. What is your cancellation policy?
A.
For One-day tours with a ticket, a full refund is given for notice received 31 or more days prior to the tour. For notice received within 30 days of the tour, there is no refund credit or transfer. For One-day tours without a ticket, a full refund is given for notice received 31 or more days prior to the tour. For notice received within 30 days of the tour, a Credit Letter is issued in the amount of the tour minus any prepaid amounts. For Multi-day tours, a full refund is given for notice received 31 or more days prior to the tour. If notice is received within 30 days of the tour, a 10% fee plus any prepaid amounts will be assessed.

Q. How do I get on your mailing list?
A.
There is basically two ways: e-mail us using the "Request Info" request form in the site directory, or call us and give the Tour Representative your name, address, and home phone number.

Q. Do you ever cancel tours?
A. Yes, occasionally we do because we do not have enough people interested in the tour. If we do cancel, we do it prior to 30 days before the tour.

Q. What if there is bad weather, do the tours still go?
A.
Quite simply our tours go unless the roads are closed. If there is bad weather we suggest that you leave your home a little earlier to get to the departure point on time.

DESTINATION RELATED

Q. Where do your tours depart from?
A.
One-day tours always depart from both Franconia and Montgomeryville. In addition to these two, depending on the direction of the tour, we also depart from New Britain or Fort Washington (e.g., a New York City tour includes New Britain, whereas, a Washington, DC tour includes Fort Washington). To find out whether New Britain or Fort Washington is included on a particular trip, please call or e-mail us.
Multi-day tours always include Franconia, Montgomeryville, and New Britain. Customers may not leave their cars at New Britain or Montgomeryville over night; however you may be dropped off and picked up upon return by friends or family.  We recommend meeting our tour in Franconia at our main terminal on Schoolhouse Road as we have a secure fenced-in parking lot with plenty of room to park, restrooms, vending machines and coffee.

Q. Do you have daily tours to places like Atlantic City or New York City or Washington, DC?
A.
No. We go to destinations like that about once or twice a month. Specific dates are listed in our brochures and on the website.

Q. Concerning your Atlantic City tours, what kind of packages are offered?
A.
Typically, the packages are about $20.00 in value and are offered in assorted variations. For example, $20 in coin, or $14 in coin and Lunch Buffet, or $15 in coin and $3 in food. We don't know what the package will be until a month before the trip because we shop around to get the best package being offered at the time.

Q. On your Atlantic City tours, are children allowed?
A.
No. Passengers under 21 years old are not allowed by the casinos.

Q. Is a meal included on your Broadway tours?
A.
No. But you are given enough time to enjoy a meal and some shopping in the Times Square area. A restaurant guide and map are available from the bus driver and office.

Q. When I travel on a tour with a ticket (e.g., Broadway, Radio City...), may I request seating?
A.
Yes, you may make certain requests. For instance, you may request
an aisle seat or you may request to be seated closer to the front. We will do our best to honor your request; HOWEVER, WE CANNOT GUARANTEE IT. When assigning seats we have two criteria: 1) keeping parties together, and 2) the order in which the reservations were made. So reserve early to get the best choice of seats.

Q. Why would I want to go on a Hagey bus tour?
A.
Convenience and cost. Two very important factors when considering a vacation. First, choosing our tours is convenient because you can sit back and relax while our driver deals with the traffic. Second, our tours save you money because we get cheaper rates based on the size of our groups.

Q. On your Multi-day tours, how often are rest stops made?
A.
Approximately every 2 - 2 1/2 hours.

Q. On your Multi-day tours, do you take single travelers? If so, do you pair up single travelers?
A.
Yes, we take singles. And, no, we do not pair up single travelers.

Q. Do you have trips to Broadway shows in Philadelphia?
A.
Occasionally, we do. Shows in Philadelphia are rarely any cheaper than New York. Besides, what is better than Broadway?
